There is a small amount of radiation exposure. When contrast agents are used, there is a rare possibility of allergic reactions or effects on kidney function. This test cannot be performed on pregnant patients.
After the examination, you may temporarily experience throat discomfort or nausea. Rarely, complications such as bleeding or perforation may occur.
In addition to the above risks, intravenous sedatives may cause respiratory depression or allergic reactions. Temporary drowsiness or dizziness may remain after the examination.
